Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have the worst luck with new clothes getting dark spots on the front. I think they're grease, because I have never been able to get them out. I guess they come from the baby's hands or the dryer or maybe the kitchen (I have a very bad habit of never putting my apron on ).

Has anyone ever found a way to get these out? Commercial or homemade, I don't care.....what are your best spot removal treatments?

Dear Gwen,

Our sons cannot seem to remember to place a napkin on their laps during mealtime and their hands go straight for their shirts. Occasionally, their dark clothing comes out of the dryer with greasy spots. I treat them with the regular blue "Dawn" dishwashing liquid and they seem to come out in the next wash.

Blessings,

Dawn liquid! What a great idea! I have the same problem on dh and my clothes. I'm not sure where the grease spots come from. They tend to show up on the newer "no-wrinkle" clothing like shirts and pants. Even not putting them in the dryer they show up. They are my mystery spots, causing a lot of angst around here! I've tried soaking, Oxy-clean, Shout, Tide...to no avail!

I'll try that remedy. Dh would be so pleased!

I just discovered a cleaner called Folex and it's gotten several stains out....including dry erase marker! My husband picked some up for me at either Home Depot or Lowe's and it was about $5. It doesn't have an icky smell.

Good Luck!
