Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Small blog tribute to my brother.

Wish I had had some better pictures, but they are in Arizona.

I was very moved by them as well. He must have been very close in age to me - born within a few months based on the dates of the photos. I know growing up at that time, it was common for families with children with conditions like Vinnie to be encouraged to institutionalize them and "forget" them. Vinnie was so fortunate to be in your family. And what a blessing his life was to all of you as well.

How beautiful. I am glad you shared this with us, because now when I pray for Vinnie's soul I can imagine his face, shining with joy in Heaven.

Laura, what a beautiful tribute to a brother that Our Lord surely held and is holding close to Him. I was crying as I read! I have held you all in my prayers. What a richer life you all and Vinnie had being home with your family! And how hard it must have been for your family to go through the surgeries and struggles. I have seen a glimpse of that as I watch my grandmother care for my uncle. May God bless you all and bring you comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing your tribute with us.

Oh, Laura, you are so blessed! That was a wonderful tribute to both your brother, but also to your family for their love and care for him.

Prayers continuing...

Oh, Laura- how you must miss him! I love the picture with the reindeer.
Now to think that he is restored to perfect health in heaven...

Oh Laura . Thank you for sharing your brother with me, with us. Our whole family just shared your tribute together and are praying mightily for the repose of the soul of Vinnie and for all who love and will miss him terribly. May God bless you, his loving sister .

Love,
