I have placed two separate orders from one of the big online Catholic companies lately, and I'm having nothing but trouble: first one order was mysteriously canceled, then I reordered and that shipment was only partially mailed. For the next order, same thing: only partially mailed, and much later than seems normal.
Is anyone else experiencing delays? I'm trying to figure out if this is happening because this is a busy time of year (FHCs, Confirmations, graduations, etc) or if this one company is just having trouble.

i ordered from a small Catholic company more than a month ago -- after a month I e-mailed to find out what was going on. the owner e-mailed back and sounded offended as he said they were out of town at some conference/convention. he said they would mail my order that week, but it's been another two weeks and it's still not here. i *hope* it's just a busy time. i'm getting a bit miffed about it.

Have you tried calling? "Just wanted to check on the status of my order which I placed x weeks ago..."
I had that problem, about five or six years back with a large Catholic company. I haven't ordered from them since that time.
Another friend had problems with changes in prices from catalogue to what she was billed, even though the catalogue was new and for that next school year.
I am currently waiting for art supplies (from an art company)...similar to you, I received half the order (the "how-to" portion) over two weeks ago, but the hands-on portion is still not here. I was thinking about emailing to see if there was a reason.
Don't most companies say, "orders ship in x business days" or something like that? I can't understand how a company can just sit on an order and not even send a note to say, "sorry for the delay," or give some sort of timetable.
I've never had a problem with Rainbow Resources. Aside from Catholic materials, I think I will stick with them.
God Bless,

I ordered some materials from a Catholic wholesale company relatively recently. I waited 3 weeks and my online cart said it was still processing. I e-mailed them and they sent it the next day, THEN responded that it usually takes that long because they get things from various sources.
Ok.
Then I received the order minus several pieces (some products ordered, I got none; others I got some, not others). I was only billed for what I received, but no note or anything saying "backordered" or "cancelled" etc.
Ok????
But then another 2 weeks go by and I receive the remainder of the shipment. All the pieces accounted for and they billed the proper amount for the remainder of the order.
So in the end, it all worked out, but I would have liked a bit more communication....
By the way, if anyone has ANY problem with MY business, please don't hesitate to ask or say something! I try very hard to make sure all details are covered, but once in a while, something is missed I'm sure.
But I also try to reply to my customers with a shipping estimate if there are special order items included. I guess I just expect the same from others??

Dh ordered my Christmas present from a Catholic company, the credit card was charged the very same day, but the items never came in the mail. We sent two emails after a month or so of waiting, to see what might have happened. No response. Finally after two months got ahold of someone on the phone, they weren't very helpful, and somewhat abrupt in the conversation. they never called back to tell me what had happened like they said they would. Later that week we finally received our order.
It was a very disappointing experience, especially in light of how we *try* to do business as a company ourselves. I can understand being behind on orders, but a notification of this is nice. You can even post it on your website if you are behind. The thing I found most disappointing was that they never responded to our emails. It really made me sad as that was my only Christmas present, and I didn't get it until more than 2 months after Christmas.

Hmm... looks like I am not the only one able to offer this up.
I now have first communion invitations back-ordered until May 5th... and ds already received. I'm off to see if I can cancel these...
Maybe Christmas and spring are just super-swamped times.
