For yourself and/or your kids?
I have not for years... I'm never sure dd will actually wear anything I buy for her  . And ds already has nice church pants and a couple of ties that he already only wears once a week.
But I'm thinking that maybe it *would* be nice to make Easter even more special by doing this. Frankly, my wardrobe could stand a new dress or skirt.
But then I also think of the time factor... just when would I do this shopping?
Although it is fun for me to shop, the kids are not so excited about it.
Hmmm....

I always do, but it is more because it is now spring and the winter church clothes are just to blah for Easter. I like something a little brighter (and without snowflakes/winter scenes ) for Easter.

My hubby's aunt works at Kohls, she buys Easter dresses for the girls each year. I am heading to good will to find a skirt for myself this year.

I do not buy new dresses unless necessary, but I do like to dress up what the girls do have by adding a pretty satin ribbon to their hair or a special necklace...
I use accessories to dress up their feiner Sunday dresses for the high feast days.
Last year in Florida I did buy new dresses because it was so dang hot and I found something really cute and cheap  ! Here in Germany spring has sprung, but it is still cold. No one wants to wear winter clothes on Easter, but you would freeze your bootie off in summer dresses  .

I didn't, except this year it just so happened that the need for clothes and Easter coming up coincided, so my 1-yo and 8-yo have new clothes and shoes. 13-yo is just getting new khakis from grandma, and I just went through their wardrobe to make sure they have something decent and Easter-worthy.
It's so cold here too during Easter still (at least to me, but I'm always freezing anyway) so the frustration for me personally is finding an Easter-worthy outfit that would keep me warm.
That said, I *love* seeing all the Easter-clothed families in their white-and-pastel outfits, with hats(!) and wish that one Easter soon that would be us too!

I should clarify, I do for the girls, not for me. I hate shopping for myself and only do it when my mom forces me to do it. I enjoy buying for the girls

Not always. Last year, their Grandma bought them Easter outifts because we were supposed to be in Alabama, but then we weren't, and it was 40 degrees here, and shorts and shortsleeves and a john-john just wouldn't cut it, lol.
This year, I was in TJ Maxx and found a nice cableknit navy sweater vest in each of their sizes. I figured that these would be versatile, wouldn't stain, would pass down well, and would be easy to "add" to to do matching outfits over the years.
This week, I'll try to go through and see if I can find clean khakis and a blue dress shirt for each and *maybe* (but probably not) modify some old ties of dh to make new ties for the boys. I keep meaning to experiment with this...I *think* I could probably get three little boy ties since one is a baby (if I go the velcroe route) out of a man's tie, but we'll see.
So, the vests were bought for Easter, and we try to make it special, but we don't always buy all new clothes, if that makes sense. I have a dream of someday owning a seersucker suit (or at least jacket, I have two jackets already) for the boys in all the sizes to break out every year at Easter, lol.
I have a skirt I made for myself for Easter one year (it still feels "new" even though it must have been 3 years ago) that I love to pull out for Easter because of the colors. Its a nice transition from winter to Spring.

We buy dd a new dress (got this year's at the military exchange!) and I sometimes buy a dress. I'm shopping this year because I also will need a dress for a change of command ceremony in the fall and I can use the same dress for both occasions.
Ds hates shopping and will wear his one "nice outfit" - hopefully I can persuade him to put on his good shoes, too.

I used to, but that was back when we had just two ds. Now, I see what fits everyone, and just fill in where needed.
I won't need to buy anything new for myself, because I took that plunge last spring in preparation for #2 ds's graduation activities. Before that, it had been years (at least 10) since I had bought myself new shoes or dresses!

We have in the past, but this year it will be hand-me-down dresses and suit coats. I can't find anything appropriate for my two tweenagers, so they will just wear what they have. I will most likely get a new suit coat for my oldest son. Otherwise, he will simply wear a dress shirt and tie.

We wear special spring-y clothes.. yes sometimes with turtlenecks and tights under or cardigans over them
So while they're not always "new", they usually feel new because I do get out spring clothes about this time. It may turn cold (like it's done the last couple of days) or be warm enough to be in short sleeves (like the couple days before that) I leave out layering clothes. And it's usually so exciting to have the "new" dresses that the girls are willing to "freeze" from building to car and car to building for Church and then change to somethign warmer at home.

I have always bought new Easter dresses for my girls. I tried to an Easter outfit for my ds but I just can't find 'nice' things for him so I stopped. He didn't care anyway.
