Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Don't forget to set your clocks forward, everyone!

Not looking forward to that transition. Good Lenten penance, I guess!

It's never an easy transition.

One good thing is it'll be lighter later in the evening!      We won't discuss it's impact on the morning.

It would be okay if my cats could figure out the time change.

It used to be that my children couldn't adjust. Now it's my cats. How did this happen???

oh no.. lighter in the evening is a mixed blessing.. I never can remember to start dinner on time.. from now until late fall I'll struggle with dinner time. Winter is so nice when the dark reminds me to start dinner

Reminds me of the poem from A Child's Garden of Verses

Bed in Summer

by Robert Louis Stevenson

In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer, quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.

And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?
