So that's how you work, huh? Here we are, trying to figure out if we can drive down to Grama's and watch the game in LA while rooting for MN ~ and maybe get to meet some WHO DAT folks, and you don't want to be my friend until Monday? Hmmph...

I'm just excited in general - Colts, Saints, and Vikings! (sorry don't care much about Jets ) - it's going to be an exciting weekend!

Truthfully, I'm sad about Kurt Warner. There's so much speculation about him retiring. He's a great quarterback and has many years left. Some day, he could grow up to be just like Favre.
If we are in MN, we'll be eating stew. If we are in LA, we'll be eating gumbo and crawfish and cracklin's - my favorite. And when the game is over I think the LA relatives will be eating crow....

Yeah, Kurt Warner is a good guy and hasn't gotten very many breaks that went his way. Too bad.
We are cheering for the Vikings this year because of Brett Favre -- my teenager's childhood hero -- funny for us not to be cheering against Minnesota, but it puts us in better with my relatives who live in Minnesota

Part of me wants to root for the "old guys" because, well, it's great they are still playing so well - an inspiration to the rest of us . But I think I'm firmly in the Saints camp right now. I want them to make it to the Super Bowl and then to win it.
But I feel for you Paula, living is a city that had that big 0-4 Super Bowl record hanging over our heads for so long I understand. Would love to (someday) see them overcome that - just not this year . And as a packer fan, despite my best efforts to do otherwise, I guess I still like Brett Farve and like to see him do well - but he does have a Super Bowl ring already.
And we like the Colts and Manning here as well, but he/they have won it before and I'm all about the little guy getting a chance...
So go SAINTS! (and I have a little fan here who thinks Drew Brees is the greatest!)

I do have to say, I was quite impressed with Favre's behavior after the game when he shook hands with the QB and looked like he was mentoring him a bit ... that's a classy thing to do!
But, Favre/Vikings ain't the Saints!

My big boys think Drew Brees is classy, yes. Almost hate to cheer against ya, but there you go, that's football

Well, since God's team is out of the running, we'll root for the Archbishop's team now! And since the Saints spent some time here in Texas after Katrina, our loyalties naturally transfer to our next door neighbors. Sorry, Paula!
