4Real boards, school, cleaning, cooking, laundry, running kids around...how do you keep up with it all?
I have a blog I haven't looked at since June of last year . I only joined Facebook to see what my sons were up to . I'm only on here maybe once a week.
I enjoyed blogging and really miss coming here but I can't figure out how to do it all? Limiting my time didn't seem to help. There's just too much good stuff out there and not enough time!!
Any tips?

I mainly come here and one other place online, I'm not on facebook or twitter, my blog is only for posts for the lovliness fairs put on by this board.. not at the moment but most of the time when I'm sitting at the computer I'm also holding a little or nursing a baby (when I have one still nursing) or resting while pregnant etc.
I watch little tv and only read for myself late in the evening or maybe a snatch here and there in the bathroom
So the computer is my only real downtime.
ah.. now I do have a little snuggling on my lap.
I limit running around as much as I can.. but it does get pretty nutty when sports are in season.. we have a spring sport and a summer sport everyone does.. and the rest of the year the only extra is scouts. I flat out refuse to do any winter sport and we're running into difficulties with a fall sport because they're all through the schools for the older kids which means long distance travel.
Oh and I'm working very hard at getting the kids to truly help keep the house up. I think that's the big one. If we all work a reasonable amount of our age.. the housework wouldn't be a bit thing.. the problem is all the dragging of feet around here... including my own

I hear you! I spend my computer time here(and Amazon.com ). This board is like Google! Seriously, I have up's and down's, but one thing I did about two years ago was get a mother's helper one day a week. If you know any homeschoolers around 11 and up that could help out a few hours, it's a huge help!

Lisa,
I think you're in a better place! Your life is full and you don't NEED to add extra things. Obviously if you're getting it all done and can't find the time to come here, I'm NOT getting it all done. Things are slacking because I'm peeking online.

Jenn,
You're right, my life is full and wonderful but I miss coming here often!! The people on this board have so much wisdom, faith and are so creative. I always come away feeling better, uplifted and full of new ideas!
Oh, to have a few more hours in the day!

Lisa I first want to say I am now a Mum & a granny . We only have two of our 6 at home now and they are older boys . On occassion 3yo grandson comes to visit and the time I spend on computer when he is here is either nil or very quick short spirts
When I still had little ones at home I only used computer for quick visits like message boards or a yahoo list for support if I did get to do any heavy serfing , reading homeschool methods etc. I had to do it at night and often paid for it by being tired the next morning.
Another big tip I can offer is , that for all blogs and websites can be beautiful , because of who I am I get overwhelmed by many that offer to much good stuff . What is right for others is not for the rest of us. I am slow and simple , a real take my time type of person to soak it all in . Some blogs just have to many clicks here and there . I stick to simple lovely blogs that may talk about one day in the life , mention 1-2 books , possibly a suggestion on a nice tea to make .
Now another thing I should mention is some people like myself write and are writers . I have a morning and night journal , a gratitude journal and 4 blogs now some people just blog to post pics for family , some people only visit other blogs to read and don't write at all . If you feel at all the need to keep up and feel the need to blog to have an image like other mums after visting other blogs , stop going to them I had that expereince with some blogs I left just feeling I wasn't doing it all and I couldn't keep up .
Some people also have nannies , some people have cleaning help come in etc. & family to help them . Each & every family sistuation is and will be unique.
For me I honestly have time in my life to write now because it is the time in my life I now can achieve it and also part of my spiritual life etc. We are now to the point we even see the day we will just be granny & grampa at home ! Life ever changing is wonderful is it not

I admit that I don't blog near as much or visit boards near as much since I started FBing. It's short, quick, and easy. I usually post an update (which is much, much, much shorter than a blog post ), then click the Home button to see what all my family and friends are up to. That's about it. It's rapid info in a short amount of space and time. Not sure that's always a good thing but it works for me in this crazy, busy time of mine.

Um...well, my laundry is backed up and please, don't even ask about the house. I did cook dinner! And we were gone all day yesterday and today for various reasons. I don't do facebook or twitter. I'm sure they're fun, I'm tempted by facebook, but I know it would just suck more time out of my day and so I have avoided getting into it. I have a blog, but I only post a couple of times a week at the most. My biggest computer time suckers are these forums and reading other blogs. I try to limit myself to an hour of computer time a day, especially during the week, so that means that my time writing on my own blog is directly related to how much time ya'll spend writing on yours. When my google reader empties out, I'm more likely to write more on my blog. First I check my email, then I check my reader, then I'll post on my blog or come here...anyway, my housecleaning is totally irrelavant to blogging as long as I don't go over my hour or so...I don't feel like one impacts the other. I get precious little time to do things that I like to do, and writing a little here and there is something I try to hold on to. I have let lots of other things go. Like my over flowing mending pile, or shaving my legs, those kinds of things...

Oh, and I do weed out the google reader. I used to have many more blogs on there, it was getting out of hand. I weeded it down to blogs of personal friends and a handful of others that I really enjoy the most. Others I may just drop in on here and there.

I really try to limit my computer time to the wee hours of 5:30 to 7 am. Of course, no one else is up then...including my friends on 4REAL!!!!!
