Well, Ladies and Tim,
After much prayer and discernment, I wanted to let you know that we will be putting out children in a little school run by the Legionaires of Christ for the duration of the school year.
We truly believe this is the path we are currently called to and after much anguish (cause I will miss them - I love them so much), they will begin tomorrow.
I have been suffering from depression and some anxiety and I went to the dr. today. He is also checking my thyroid to confirm its function.
This has been a difficult decision as I have longed to homeschool straight through...but my health cannot be ignored.
I hope to be able to pop in here and still hang out with you all . I have grown to love and appreciate you all so much and you don't know what a comfort your prayers and encouragement have been to me. In addition, I have learned so much from you.
We are looking at this solution as a temporary one and hope to bring them back home next year...but we'll see what God has in store. I didn't see this coming!
Thank you for everything. You have blessed us more than you know.
With love and gratitude....

Oh Maria, your family has been through so much for an extended time. How exhausting. I will hold you all in prayer and look forward to hearing updates. Don't be a stranger now, hear?
Lots of love,

Real Learning is a lifestyle--it isn't about schooling at home. Don't stay away for even a minute. There are other moms here whose children are in school. We'd miss you!

Maria,
You are in my prayers...some of my dc and I have dealt with anxiety and depression over the years. I only have my 14 yr ds at home out of my 4 schoolers.
I pray you find peace and healing.

Maria,
If you are experiencing health issues, you need these boards now more than ever.
Follow your doctor's orders and this one:
* cup of coffee/tea in the morning (or some other time of day) over email & 4 Real Learning boards
I'll be praying for your wellness of mind and body.

Maria,
I will keep you in my daily prayers. I hope the whole experience is positive for your dc. And please still post - real learning happens all the time and is not really a school/homeschol issue.

I most surely hope you will "pop in" now and forever!! You're going on my Moms' morning prayer list.

Dear Maria,
Please stay and continue to add to our conversations. I pray the kids and you adjust well and that you find relief from the depression and anxiety.

Maria, you'd better stick around, girl, we'd miss your sense of humor! How fortunate that you have a LC of school for your kiddos to help you over this hump. As Elizabeth said, Real Learning is a way of life, and you're doing it, whether dc are at school or not. I was never hsed at day in my life, and yet...I was homeschooled, as will your children continue to be!

Maria,
I am sorry you are going through this tough time. What a blessing that you have a L of C school available for the children. I have only heard wonderful things about them.
I will pray for you and your family!
