i dreamed my 18-yo dd called me on the phone, saying there's this Egyptian guy named Shera (Sheh-rah) and she's going over to his apartment to cook for him.
NO IDEA where that came from.
the last Egyptian guy I met was a fabulous dentist who was super nice, and his name was Dr. Marzouk.
is Shera even an Egyptian name?
i don't believe in interpreting dreams but this one was just plain weird and funny to me. the things that our brains come up with! have you had any weird dreams lately?

That is strange. I seem to dream more when I'm not getting enough sleep or pregnant. Luckily I don't try and remember most dreams.. there's some I've had that I can't shake they hit me so hard emotionally.. When I do dream it's very vivid.. but it fades fast if I don't think over it. I had one the other night when I went to bed late and knew I had to get up early.. I don't recall what it was.. but I didn't mind it being interupted by the alarm

Actually, yes! But I hesitate to call it weird because....
I dreamt about YOU, Stef!
It was last week, and now I don't remember the details, but you were in a large kitchen, cooking.... that's all I remember now.
And I woke up and thought "Boy, I think about that board (4Real) A LOT! "
I almost posted something, but I was afraid YOU would think I was weird.

Yes, I dreamed about horses carting my kids off to their waterpolo practice - I'm not kidding. Odd. Seriously odd.

So funny you mentioned weird dreams today! I was just telling my dh my strange dream this morning. I dreamt I was in our local grocery store and saw a priest shopping in the dairy section, so naturally I went up and asked who he was and why was he in our small town? He said he was stranded there waiting for a part to his car...
So, to make sure he was priest, I quizzed him, "Which parish are you from? When St. Joseph's feast day? What was the Council of Trent?" He answered all my questions so I took him home and fed him, and he ate the food I've been freezing for our priest....

thanks gals, i needed the laugh.
LOL especially, Tami! hey, i wish i could dream i was in a big kitchen cooking -- better yet make it a reality! and no, you're not weird! :D
wow, lisa, i want my kids to have horses and play waterpolo! i'd like to have your dream.
and maddie -- LOL -- wonder what your priest would say if you told him about your dream.
jodie -- no kidding -- i was relieved when my 10-mo woke me up with a slap to my face (he hasn't learned to be gentle with his hands yet) -- i sure don't want to know WHY in the world my 18-yo would be cooking for someone at HIS apartment!!
keep 'em coming!!

I can't remember any of mine really...but since the beginning of this pregnancy (back in June) I have dreamed all.night.long. I'm thinking that maybe I'm not getting to that deep sleep or something. I don't know. I've never dreamed so much in my entire life!
It is SO TIRING! I wake up and I feel like I have this head full of odd images, names and feelings. Dh hasn't said I've been restless, so I guess outwardly I look sound asleep, but I don't wake up feeling like I slept soundly.
Like from last night...all I can remember is a large wooden structure, with odd apartments in it, climbing through windows and ladders and chasing something that went by. I have no clue! And I know there is more, but I can't get the images together. UGH!
I'm praying that after this birth (beg. March) these dreams will stop!

Yes. I always seem to have vivid and intense dreams when pregnant.
I don't remember last night's (only 2hrs sleep -- still in a daze), but two nights ago I dreamt that I was at church for Mass. I looked up towards the altar to see our priest, wearing white vestments, standing with his back to everyone. I realized he was crying. He turned to look over his left shoulder at everyone in the pews (like a reassurance that he was ok), but wiping away his tears with a hankerchief. He left and there would be no Mass. I sat in the pews and realized Father was crying because he hadn't been invited by anyone to Thanksgiving dinner.
Can you tell what's on my mind a lot?

Seems to be a few dreams about having priests over for dinner...hmmm... - I would call those "Year for Priests" dreams .
I have crazy dreams all the time. But I'm not remembering one at the moment - nothing last night it doesn't seem.
