Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am hoping someone here can help me with some information, and I'm praying that there is definately a way to do this..

I have this concern. I have recently made connections with a few of my cousins from childhood. I see them very occasionally but if it were not for facebook I would loose contact with them. Some of them a very rough and wild to say the least but they respect me and my faith due to their love of my father who died 9 years ago who was a great example to the whole clan and I do love them.

It really is my only way to not only keep in contact with them, but ALSO for them to see things connected to our faith {they are Catholics but never really had a good understanding of it despite going to Catholic schools} Despite their lifestyles, they will ask for prayers, mention that their children have been confirmed etc. I know that they are visiting my Wall and God willing there could be a Catholic quote or video etc that could be a seed planted..

BUT I made a mistake when accepting them as friends, not to de-check the box that says they will be on my news feed!    I would rather I pop over and visit them at will than read everything that they share, some stuff and bit hair-raising. Because of that there 'what's on my mind' would also come up next to their name and image on my friends list..that's ..

What can I do to remove them from the news feeds? Surely there must be a way to removed them off the news feeds.

I'm just so wild I didn't twig to the little check box when confirming friends, just realised this a few days ago...still learning about facebook, I'm afraid.

Can anyone help with information on this?

The next time they appear in your news feed, you should be able to hover over their name, and over to the right a "hide" option will pop up. If you move the cursor over to it, it will allow you to hide them from your news feed, or if what they posted is an application (like a quiz or game), it will give you the option to hide the person or the application. HTH!

I wish I would have know this earlier.

I too am new to Facebook and accepted my "S-I-L" who I would rather not see everything about as well. Therefore, I just removed her as a friend ... but now cannot get her back either - if you search by her name ... it is as if she is just gone from Facebook.

I am still in the process of trying to figure out how to get her back "as a friend".

Any suggestions here?!?!?!?

Do you know her e-mail? I would just tell her that you are new to FB and removed her as a friend and that's not what you wanted! Tell her that you tried to find her, but being new to FB, you couldn't do that either. Could she please add you as a friend again.
