My husband just sent this link to me: Kids Bowl Free. I did sign up for it. It looks really good. Has anyone heard of this before?

That sounds good! Now's one of those times I wished we lived in the U.S.A!

Well not exactly. This looks like a new promotion. But several years ago AMF lanes had a simialr program - it was a free game for kids everyday (all year long for a couple years. We signed up for that it was great. Tried to go once a week. I bought the kids bowling shoes (local discount bowling supply) so we wouldn't have to rent each time - after several times going we had more than paid for those shoes.
I am so excited to see this new promotion. We are definitely going to sign up! Thanks Ruth.

doesn't cover shoe rental, which here is 2.99 a kid. (*gulp*!)
so I might do it once a month, but I cant' afford that every week.
altho if I already had bolwing shoes for everyone, I'd be totally free and we woudl do it every day! LOL

It doesn't at my location. It has a note that shoe rental is $4. I wonder if I couldn't use Robeez for bowling shoes?

Woohoo! Thanks Ruth!!! We don't have a pool that we can go to during the summer we are always stuck inside during those hottest times of the day. This will be great to go somewhere air-conditioned and fun!!!!
A smiling face from each of my bowling age dc!!!

the local bowling place here has a program: say no to drugs, say yes to bowling. 1 free game/day starting May or June 1st to Aug.31st. (can't remember, but I do need to get signed up). Teachers (that means parents too) also bowl free, shoes included.

So has anyone been taking advantage of this program this summer? We have gone quite a bit. We tried to go at least a couple times a week - some weeks we didn't make it though. But definitely enough to pay for the bowling shoes we got so we wouldn't have to rent.
Both kids have improved their game quite a bit and I've been averaging about 150 - which really surprised me. It's been a good activity for the summer.

Bumping for this year...
Time to sign up again for free summer bowling. We have done it the last several years. We buy the family pass, too for $25 so that my husband, older sons, and I can bowl free as well. It's great.
