Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know which stores carry this? (especially anyone in NoVa) My derm has recommended it because of my sun sensitivity - and I don't seem to be able find it even in Wholefoods.

Thanks

Marilyn, I found it at drugstore.com. But I also seem to remember when my pediatrician mentioned it at one point she said the drugstores, like CVS, Rite Aid would have it...something more specialized, so to speak, than a grocery store.

This is a tangent question for you...you said for sun sensitivity, what makes it different than the others out there? A cousin and I are always trying to evaluate sunscreens and we've yet to figure out the "perfect one" between avoiding carcinogenic chemicals or nanoparticles...we can't win!

Kacky - I am not sure - I think my derm recommended it because it is fragrance free and good for sensitive skin. It is the recommendation of most derms - if I can still find the website that describes it I will email it to you.

Marilyn, Don't stock up until you try it. I think one year I bought a tube from Giant. I developed a reaction to it.

I'm trying to remember where I saw it....maybe Giant, Target of Wal-Mart.

We didn't care for it much. I think it was super thick and didn't spread easily.

This is a product I like Kinesys, I hope to have Kacky take a look at the ingredient list for me. I get this at REI.

Thanks for the info - I have a Blue Lizard trial size. I will see if i have a reaction. I like the look of the Kinesys. I need to get something soon - today with soccer and baseball - my face was fine because of my SPF 50 sunhat, but my arms and legs are all red and itchy.

I found this site tonight...you all have probably seen this, but I hadn't. More names to research! I have two cousins that research this like crazy...I'm going to give this to them too

I was just talking about sunscreen with some moms at swim class. One was saying that the Blue Lizard is supposed to have the least amount of "toxic" chemicals according to some medical site that evaluated tons of sunblocks. The other is getting ready for a trip to Mexico and has to have biodegradable sunscreen or the beach won't let them use any. They're worried that regular sunscreen will destroy the coral ecosystem. I can't remember where she said she got it from, though. Just thought I'd make you aware that such a thing exists.
