We don't pay for text messaging, which means every text received costs .20. Why do I have to pay for some idiot to email me saying that I really should take a look at fill-in-the-blank???

I asked dh if there was some way to block this and he said he thinks we'd have to pay for parental controls, which is $5 per phone, which is more than the number of text messages we usually get.

Does anyone know if there is another way to stop this?

Who's your carrier? We have T-Mobile and ALL TEXT MESSAGES are blocked. It did take me 3 times to get them to block it... first I tried to do it online, but after 2 hours of trying to fix it myself I finally gave up and called them. Then the guy said he took care of it, but 2 months later I still got text messages from people I didn't know -- so one more time I called and got everything blocked, on all phones. Give your carrier a call, I'm sure they have a way to do it, you might have to be persistent though.

Verizon. Maybe I will do that...give them a call and see if there is anything they can do. Its really starting to irritate me...

Books - We use Verizon and after getting a few random text messages we called and had all text messages blocked. They do this for free.
