My 8yo dd would like a penpal. We tried before, but it didn't work out. A couple of people PM'd me with offers, but I don't know if you've now got penpals sorted, so I'm trying again!
Dd is 8, loves ballet, gym, climbing and judo, but is also a major bookworm, into Anne of Green Gables, Little House, Dr Dolittle...
We are in London (UK!) so she would love a penpal from anywhere else!

Well, I have an 8yr old dd...she'll be 9 in March. She loves the Little House books, the trampoline, hiking with her dad in the countryside, and reading history books...:-)

My daughter came in and read over my shoulder, saw this thread and asked me to reply. ;) She would also like a penpal! She is 8, likes gymnastics, singing in our parish choir and Brownie Scouts. She is a social butterfly and a genuine bookworm. Her current "fluff" reading (outside of my 'suggested' selections) are a little series of books called the Royal Ballet School Diaries which is set in London.

Thank you so much for the replies and the PMs. My dd would love to say yes to everyone but I think it's more realistic to start with one -- so I've PM'd someone. Sorry to disappoint the other 8yo girls who all sound lovely!
