I look forward to the extra hour of sleep, except with children they are only following body time, not clocks.

Every year I tell myself I'll work myself into it gradually so I won't have the shock...did I do it? No, of course not!

Yes, our calendar was wrong, and had it listed for last week. We missed RE, were late for church, and we felt ridiculous on top of it.

But - this is the first time in 20 years that we are having to change our clock, so that is our excuse, and we are sticking to it....

My parent's almost missed last week because of one of their "automatic" set clocks -- it went back last week since it was programmed before the new day.

We used to always use the spring forward day as starting a new early bedtime for the kids. All year the bedtime would creep a little later. Then we'd start fresh with their going to bed an hour earlier. Of course they'd wake up earlier, but it was worth it.
Now they can tell time - past the fooling age.

Ok, I admit it. I totally forgot and we showed up for RE an hour early. Although I really could have used the extra hour of sleep, it worked out well because we all went out to Denny's for breakfast-a rare treat. God is good, even to those of us whose brains have left the building!LOL!

I got the time change.. and the extra hour of sleep *bliss*..

But I wasn't here all day Saturday because we went to Mass for All Saints' Day.. and the whole day felt like Sunday to me so I kept thinking the boards were closed

Oh, thank you, thank you so much for posting this Saturday night. I completely forgot about changing the clocks until I read this. I slept peacefully all night and arrived for Mass the same as always
