Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of an unscented or lightly scented shampoo? I can't stand the smaell of shampoo this pregnancy...even after I'm done in the shower, the smell of my hair makes me . However, I think the rest of the world would appreciate it if I didn't forego washing it the whole first trimester...I was wondering about the Bert's Bees shampoo.

There's this one from Cranberry Lane.

Stony Brook Botanical Unscented shampoo - they make a whole line of unscented stuff...lotions, conditioner.

Desert Essence Unscented Shampoo

I was at the Whole Foods Store this weekend and I smelled a brand (and unfortunately I can't remember the name or I'd tell you and link you ) but anyway, it truly had no smell.

I like the Stony Brook Botanical line myself...although, I'll confess that though "unscented" helps, it seems everything is scented and it's so hard to get away from it all...deoderant, toothpaste, soap, detergent, lingering scents in the pillowcase from years ago that my pregnant bloodhound nose now detects...I use one of Rob's t-shirts (clean ) but washed in unscented detergent and wrap it around my nose for the first 3 months! It's a big scented world!

I hope you find something Colleen - scents are the big issue for me too. Funny story, I was early pregnant and dh and I were laying in bed (our bedroom is upstairs) watching a movie. I was getting really gaggy because I smelled dog food. He got up and let the dog out, in case it was her, but I still smelled it, and it kept me up all night. The next morning my husband searched high and low to find out what I was smelling. (he didn't smell it of course!) And what he turned up was one single doggie kibble just outside of our bedroom door!

When I was making soap and bath supplies, I would get unscented shampoo base (the idea being I could scent it myself.) I liked the base from Soap Wizards and you can get the sample size for like a dollar I think. Their bases seem to be a little different than what they carried before. But any soap supply place will likely have a truly unscented type of shampoo base.

hth,
