That is a relly cute style! I had very long hair for like 25 years, and just cut it short (chin length) this summer. I did not like it at first because it was a bit too short for my round face and I looked like a doofus. Now that it has grown out a bit to approx shoulder length I really like it. It is still easy to manage like short hair, but has enough length to be flattering to my face shape.
That said, I think you should go for it. If you don't like it, well...hair grows!

I have very long hair and find that every time I cut it short (finally got a clue and haven't done so in some years) that I get unhappy with it fairly quickly. Sometimes I just need time to "get over" a desire for change or such and let my normally happy with my simple hairstyle reassert itself.
But it is a cute style.. and I think as long as you're not going to be adding work in upkeep of the hair style (sounds like you might be reducing upkeep?) then it's a good choice to try out.

I love it, Ruth! It is very flattering and feminine. I cut my hair to about the same length last month, and I am SO glad that I did. I was really feeling frumpy, and the shorter style perked me right up. I can wear it curly, or blow it straight, and if I do blow it straight it takes 1/2 the time it used to.

Oh Ruth it looks great and you look beautiful! Short hair is SOOOO much easier when you have little kids ... I don't like to fuss with blow dryers, curling irons, etc so I've had to have mine short for a long time!
