Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Blog question!

How do you know what other people have searched for to find your blog?

Different stat programs will track that info for you. I think it's part of certain platforms, too -- but I think you use blogger, and I don't know one that is built into blogger?

Sitemeter has a free option with limited info, but it can tell you where someone was referred to your site from, and if it was google, for instance, you can see the search phrase. Most search phrases that show up on my site actually come from blogsearch.google.com

I know there are more statistic programs to track that info, but I use the free sitemeter option. I can see how many people visit, how long they spend, where they're located and how they found my site (if they clicked a link to get there)

HTH!

And I'm not screaming...that's how the company writes it.

Wordpress keeps track for you in your dashboard. Someone landed on my blog today after searching "my husband is short"      Weird. My husband is 6'3". I've had some doozies!

It's so true! While I misspelled Dalai Lama yesterday in a post , the person who searched for "Dali Llama" did too, lol!

you know what scares me? when i see "US Government" on the list of domains that are visiting the blog. Yikes! Who is it, why are they on my blog, what are they reading and am I going to get in trouble? I know I get very outspoken sometimes and lately I can't seem to stop talking about political stuff that angers me, but -- shudder -- I get bothered sometimes wondering whose eyes are watching.

Realistically it's probably someone just killing time looking for recipes, but still...

Stef, it really could just be someone who works in a govt. facility like my dh. I can't say he has or hasn't visited your site recently but you're listed in my sidebar and I know he checked everyone out during the April Showers Photo deal looking for pix. If he gets to work before 8am he can cruise anywhere online, after 8am it's locked down and only certain sites are available, for instance all Typepad and Blogger sites are blocked but not Sailblogs. Another great reason I use them, too small to pop up on the radar!

Thanks,
