Ladies, I just emailed my Bible Study friends asking for their birthday dates. I have an account with an electronic card company because I am terrible at remembering in time to get a printed card out in the mail. I thought it would be nice to have a thread with birthday ideas - it just feels so good when a friend remembers our birthdays. I'll list a suggestion or two and then y'all jump in:

1. A prayer intention.
(One of the most thoughtful gifts I've received was from a friend who put me on a 5 year prayer intention list with the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception.)

2. A card - real or electronic.

3. A favorite book.


ok... throw some ideas out!

Having them over for tea or lunch. (if you can afford it, going out is nice)

If they have young children, offer to watch their children for them while they go out.

Even a phone call can be nice for some women who are home all day with children. It can get very lonely.
