I want to have my parents old home movies converted to DVD for their 50th anniversary.
Has anyone done this? Recommendations, advice, cautions?
Thanks!

Ditto on $$$$$... but all 7 siblings chipped in for my folks and they loved it and watch them over and over again. I didn't arrange it, so no recommendations other than the outcome.

Molly, I think that some DVD players are capable of burning DVDs. So if you had one or knew someone who did, you could connect the VCR to it and burn them yourself. (I don't know much about this, but we have a stack of old home movies waiting to be burned. Hoping to try it this week.)

What I have are the old Super 8 filmstrips, not videotapes.

Costco has started offering this service. I don't know how much it is, but I tend to trust them.
