Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know you talked about 'trading' houses with a builder recently. Maybe I missed the rest of the discussion. Are you still building a house? I mentioned trading houses to my husband and he thought it sounded great but I doubt anyone offers it in my area. Just curious how it's going.

Thank you for asking! :) It is all still in the works. We put an offer on an eight acre parcel of land a few weeks ago - but we were turned down. Ah well. We are diligently searching for just the right spot to build on, then we will get started. It is looking like fall before we break ground.

It couldn't hurt to call around to area builders and ask about trading houses - with the market the way it is, builders are eager to work with buyers. The builder we are working with is not only taking our current house off of our hands for a reasonable price, they have also come down in price on the model of new house that we have chosen, and thrown in a few 'extras' (such as a bedroom and kitchen island) at no extra cost.

Sorry about the land. We still have some time to live in this house. Need to get our financial ducks in a row a little better before we do anything drastic.

So tell me, how do you design a house for 9+ kids that are homeschooled? Bigger rooms, more rooms, what are you doing? Will you have a seperate school space or just a nice size dining room? How many bathrooms will you have ?
