Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My brother is coming to DC for a conference. He has a really busy schedule but said he wanted to skip out for a couple of hours to see my dc. He suggested he just take the metro out to VA somewhere (because really I don't like the idea of me and my 15 pass.van in DC in the middle of the day and trying to find parking... ) And we figured cheaper for him to Metro out towards us somewhere.

So here is my ??? what orange line stops do you all think have a good place to hang out nearby (he'll probably only have 2 hours to spare)...like a park or ice cream parlor or something like that. I just don't know anything about inside the beltway

And suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Kacky,

What about picking him up at one of the Falls Church stops and going to Tysons Corner. There are lots of restaurants there. Right off 66 at rt 7, there is a strip mall with a Whole Foods and some other places.

Or if you feel up to going all the way to Pentagon City you could meet him there, that's on the blue line though. If you are a Costco member there is that CostCo across from Pentagon City. You could grab some hot dogs from Costco and then go over to the park across the street. In that same CostCo shopping area is a Borders and California Pizza Kitchen.
