Right now at 5:30 am, the temperature is 15 (yes, 15), the winds are gusting, there are several inches of snow on the ground, and it is still snowing.
All those bulbs, garlic and potatoes that were delivered yesterday will just have to stay in their box.

Paula,
I thought about you when I was watching the news this morning. It is suppose to hit 80 her today. I'd love some peat if you need a reason to visit somewhere hot and humid.

Whaaaaat? Wasn't it in the 70's at the beginning of the week???? I thought that's what my mom told me. And now this! Unbelievable!
We're in the 50's for the most part here.

15? I think it rarely is that cold here in January, and our weather isn't all that "southern" here near Washington, DC.
It's supposed to be 81 today. Yesterday I think reached the 80s outside... the thermometer on our thermostat spent a lot of time reading 80! No working a/c right now. (I'd like to keep it off more this summer, but if we'd had it we definitely would have used it at some point yesterday!) But from April 27 through May 5 weather.com's 10-day forecast shows no daily high above 73.

Right now it's 38 with a high of 59 expected; that makes it about ten to fifteen degrees cooler than it has been most of the week. I don't mind, though, as long as we don't have anymore snow. That being said, I'm going to wear my long johns to tee-ball practice in an hour. Partly for warmth, and partly because I'm going to wear my old maternity jeans that have a ripped knee since the grounds are probably still kind of soggy for the rain storm last night.

Central New Yorks weather forecast for today is a high of 80 and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. This is as good as the weather we get in the middle of summer.
The extended forcast though, says 45 on Tuesday and Wednesday with the chance of snow flurries in the night.

My dh has now informed me that the temperature is up to 25.
It is still snowing...
And yes, Suzanne, it was in the 70's earlier this week. The kids were BEGGING to be in swimsuits, but the mean mom that I am - I said no.

Joann, I'm betting that your chance of snow flurries is over MN right now. And we've had 2-3 inches so far.

We are expecting a high of 94 and a low of 60 today. Whew! It is now 64 at 7:30 am. I usually don't start wishing for a/c until July. I may start complaining about it earlier this year...like today!

Paula, our current temperature is -5C (which I think is 23F) and the windchill is -12C (about 10F). We're headed for a whopping high of 3C (37F) with a windchill of -2C (28F).
Not sure if this will kill off the tulips that started sprouting a week ago. Looking forward to the return of spring!

That's unreal, Paula.
It's been humid and mucky here.
Not sure of the temp but it was probably in the 70's this morning at the 5K run and we had a few sprinkles fall from the sky.
We have a company crawfish boil to go to this afternoon. I'm hoping it doesn't start raining but the skies are gray and heavy.

No.Va is supposed to get tstorms today too, along with the 80 degrees.
But to show how wacko people are about warm weather, the neighbors next door are literally....wait let me turn my head and look out my window...doing the back stroke and one is floating on her raft in their pool.
Plus my ds's are down the street at another friend's pool. Granted these pools are heated...as it hasn't been this warm for enough days for the sun to make them warm enough.
I can't imagine snow in April...what a bummer!!!!! No wonder my dh from Buffalo won't ever consider moving any further north than Virginia!

It's about 40 now - but it did snow briefly earlier this morning before blowing through.
April showers here usually do mean snow.

Paula, I am have tried not to even look out the window all day!
Affirmation repeated throughout the day: Winter weather in late spring in Minnesota does not affect my happiness.
Why does it feel like I am lying to myself?!
