Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

*April 30 - Simply Lovely Windows (Paula at A Catholic Harvest)

EEEKKK!!

I've been dealing with a time-consuming issue , and I completely dropped the ball on this.

I'm hosting the next fair! It is Simply Lovely Windows, and it will be this Wednesday, April 30.

Please send your submissions to me at lpaula AT frontiernet DOT net.

I'll put everything together and post it in the morning on Wednesday, so you have until early that morning to get something to me...please...pretty please?

Sorry for the late notice, and thank you in advance!

This may be a very silly question, but... I am drawing a blank on this one. Any ideas? Should I take pictures of my windows? I don't have any pretty curtains, just shutters, that might be kind of boring .

Not a silly question at all!

Why not the view from your window? Or even something written about what windows in general mean, or a view you remember, anything at all!

When I was suggested the topic, I was thinking about spring and how windows allow us to enjoy its beauty even from inside. And about how windows allow us to enjoy the natural rhythm of the day and the season. And so I thought it would be fun to see what other people find lovely about their windows, the views from them, and the role they play in their attempt to build a comfortable home environment. Hope that jump starts some ideas.

I don't have a blog, so can I send a picture to be posted?

Well, Matilda, I happen to know for a fact that you have a truly lovely kitchen window!

If I were to get down to the level of your youngest child, I think that window, with its pretty statue (statues? all of a sudden I think you have more than one!), lovely glass vase, & so on, against the backdrop of the open sky, would remind me a little bit of Heaven!
