Hi All:
I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew...
Michele Quigley, of The Family-Centered Life,Mater Amabilis, and The Catholic Woman's Daily Planner, is hosting what will be a fun and dynamic conference on July 26, 2008, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Alice Gunther is the featured speaker, and there will also be talks given by Margot Davidson, Meredith Henning, and myself.
I really hope that many of you will attend. We are going to have a great group of vendors and Lancaster is a wonderful family city. The conference website has all the information. Several blogging moms will be there and many of us are making a family vacation out of the weekend. Gettysburg, Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Park are all in close proximity and Lancaster is in the heart of Amish country. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.

I am bumping this topic up just as a reminder about the upcoming conference. Elizabeth has started a really wonderful discussion about a Charlotte Mason education and even mentioned Mater Amabilis in one of her posts. Mater Amabilis will have a table at the conference and you can ask tons of questions. You will also be able to buy Cay's books and Alice Gunther's upcoming book at the Hillside Education table.

I haven't posted here in so long, but I thought I'd put it out there that I am going to Michelle's conference. I wasn't able to attend the 4Real one last year or my own local one this summer. I am so excited to meet everyone!!!

Hi Robynn,
I hated missing our conference! My brother was married the week before and we had another wedding the day after the conference. I heard we're going 'big' next year and it's being moved to Los Angeles. :)
Anyway, good to 'talk' to you here. Maybe we could plan another Getty day. :)
Kristie, where in Canada are you? Too far to drive?

Rachel, I so hope to meet you someday. We hope to do some kind of cross-country East coast trip in the next few years, maybe 2010, but in the meantime, come to CA!
Mare, this is so exciting!! I am excited to see Alice again and meet Michelle, Meredith, and Mary Ellen. I also heard that Karen E. and Margaret of Minn. are attending! I will look for you via your nametag. :)

We are coming!! Three or four of us are driving from MD.
I am also planning on bringing my children to the picnic the night before. Is anyone going to that?
Also, does anyone know if they will have the miniature mass kits for sale this year?

I was going to fly to the conference if Janette flew with me.
I don't think that's happening this year.
I am looking to plane fly next year. Please pray that my children's enthusiasm for plane flying spills over onto me.
