Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We put in a bid on a forclosed property this last week. A log home in the country, almost 4500 square feet and it was turned down. I figured it would be. We really bid low because the home has been sitting for quite some time and we wanted to see how firm the bank was on their end. They did come down $10,000 and we put in a counter offer so we'll see how that goes later this week.

The home is/has everything we've been looking for. My husband and his family build homes and so any of the work that needs to be done on the house we can do on our own. The home really only needs updating. New counter tops, carpet and flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms.

I'm trying to still be positive but there are 2 other people looking at the house this weekend.    We are not selling our current home at this time so we don't need to find someplace fast if this doesn't work out.

I am going to be taking a look at Theresa's decluttering schedule though so that I can start to downsize and declutter early.

Oh no! A log home...in the country...where is the salivating and slightly jealous emoticon? I'm praying that God will provide for you all.

I will pray for you. My husband and I just lost a bid on a foreclosed property as well. Both buyers bid full price, but the other buyer was paying cash (we have been pre-approved for a loan) so they went with him. At first I was disappointed, but now I am sure there is a better place waiting for our family
