Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're in the market for a new laptop. I'm a through and through user of Windows, use mostly Microsoft software for editing, browser, etc. Dh wants to know are there really pros to switching to MAC. How's the learning curve? How is the software support? When I transfer my data over to a MAC will I be able to read it, or will I need to pay extra to use Vista on a MAC and then be frustrated with the slowness?

I'd love to hear those who have made the leap, and I'd like to hear arguments for keeping things the same. I'm leaning towards the latter, as I hate learning curves and big changes when I don't have time to do it properly.

My husband is a big Mac proponent and has convinced many people to switch including his former bosses who were dedicated PC guys. I can have him chime in later with some thoughts. He switched me over to a Mac a few years ago and I love it. I am no pro by any means, but was able to learn everything I needed to pretty quickly.
