Ladies, I'm heading to AR/OK/KS this next week to do a whirlwind househunting trip. Leaving DH here in NC with all five little people and no planned day to day support. I'm hitting Little Rock Thursday afternoon, working my way to Ft Smith, then heading to Tulsa via Sallisaw, then to OKC, and north to south-central/eastern KS. And then heading back to Little Rock. I don't know if any of you ladies are in those areas, or would have recommendations of good, but not-too-expensive places to eat, etc, but I'd appreciate any help you can give. I've got hotels lined up, so that isn't an issue, its just trying to find decent food that isn't "fast", iykwim.
Thanks, ladies--and obviously, any and all prayers would be MUCH appreciated. Dh's retirement process is drawing to a close, we're going to be moving by the end of April, and we'll be closing this long chapter of our lives in NC--we've been here more than 11 yrs now, and have been in this house the entire time.
Rachel

Thanks!
And any prayers about the sale of our home, would also be VERY VERY much appreciated, as two mortgages would be less than beneficial, iykwim...
We're looking at one place in particular, that DH is head over heels "in like" with...lol. I'm going to see it Saturday morning...keep your fingers crossed.

Johnny Carino's had great italian food (south/west tulsa on riverside)
Stone Mill BBQ is great (in broken arrow, very close to tulsa and worth the drive)
Texas Roadhouse has some of the best steaks and baked sweetpotato ever, but it is loud and crowded - liek a roadhouse. we can no longer eat there because they don't have tables big enough to seat out family *sigh*

I probably ought to add that I am staying right off of I-44/Central Tulsa, if that helps. LOL
Thanks for the suggestions, Martha. I'm actually rather looking to the "quiet" of Tulsa, cause my only family in the area is going to be out of town (otherwise, I'd be saving the $200+ and staying with them, lol), and I don't have any friends in the area, sooooo its me, my knitting, and early nights while I am in Tulsa. A nice break from visiting with friends in Little Rock, Ft Smith, OKC, and in KS.

Calico County in Ft. Smith is good and family oriented. There are also several inexpensive Mexican restaurants, one is Maria's which is on Rogers Avenue past the Walmart and there is La Huerta's downtown on Garrison. Both are good. Most non-chain places in Ft. Smith have good prices.
Hope that helps some.
