Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here are some yard scenes from yesterday's dump. From what I understand, there's more expected tonight.

A Little Snow

Oh Tina, I LOVE the pictures! Now, that's my kind of winter weather. Most of our snow has melted, but there's a Noreaster on the way for Monday!

Y'know the funny thing is that our yard/area looked like this on Christmas Day ... the day the weather man reported a "60% chance of snow, max accum of 1-4 inches" ... and they kept updating and still not getting that the chance of snow was 100%!

What a great job meteorology must be -- you don't even have to give the facts (or look out the window apparently)

That's Denver Weathermen for ya, Mary. I remember watching the Broncos playing on the TV and the weatherman giving updates for good weather while it was snowing on the field.

I think they were trying to get people to show up at the game, this had to have been after they blew the Superbowls and everyone was disgusted with them, I think I even remember them painting all the seats in the stadium different colors in random patterns so the aerial views during games looked like the stadium was full, even when it was most decidedly not.

Tina, that's impressive! Did you get over a foot of snow? I always loved getting more than a foot of snow - time to break out the yard stick for measuring!

We had 22" fall that day. But there was already 6" to 8" on the ground from Christmas Eve.

We now have a 7ft snow man gracing the top of our driveway.

Oh. And it's still falling.

It's sooooo beautiful...it rained all day here yesterday. We have mud gracing the top of our driveway. I told the boys that's Louisiana snow.
