Crazy topic, but maybe one of you could help me. I caught a brief mention on a show called dlife about a nonprofit organization that accepts leftover or expired insulin to give to needy people/countries.

Now that my pregnancy is over I have several leftover unused still good bottles that I would love to see being given to a good cause, but now I can't find any information regarding this.

Anyone heard of this or a similar program?

I don't know about a program, but when my f-i-l died, we gave all his supplies to a reliable doctor we know from the Philippines. He took the supplies over there when he visited family, and gave them to a clinic.

Margaret, I think that's the place. And MacBeth, a local doctor or organization is a good idea. There's a Medical Missionaries to Banica that I'll be trying to see if they want that kind of donation.

As soon as I saw your post I thought of the Medical Missionaries here in town. When a dear family friend passed away about a year ago, she had a ton of meds left and they took everything! I just dropped it off at the office. I think I just called, asked if they'd want them, they were excited, and even more excited when I arrived with the ziploc full.

Do you know where they are? PM if not.
