Thank you all!
It's been a really great birthday. I don't know why, but I wanted this birthday to be special. I haven't felt that about any previous birthdays. To make it special, my dh decided to take me to IKEA to get some furniture instead of getting an ipod Touch for himself from his bonus. Then I got an e-gift certificate from a couple of friends in MI. I was so touched! First of all, they don't have much money so any such gift is exceedingly kind, and secondly the e-gc was from one of my favorite places (Zingerman's). I have known these ladies for 25 years now, and they are awesome people. One has been hsing for about 27 years, and the other has an extra-big famly (she has only ten kids at home now....).
And now.. people here are wishing me a happy birthday. It's so nice. I feel kind of isolated sometimes as Joseph's autism means that many of the activities in our local TORCH group are just not appropriate, and I can't really hang out as it were with other moms much.
Thank you all so much. It means a lot to me.
