for 2008........
I'm not brave enough to use the words resolutions or even goals.  I am working on a list of things of I aspire to. Anyone care to share their thoughts for the new year, either here or with a link to your blog......

I can't come up with anything original  but I really liked Pope John XXIII's "Decalogue for Daily Living" and want to make it more a part of my life this year:
Quote:
1. Only for today, I will seek to live the livelong day positively without wishing to solve the problems of my life all at once.
2. Only for today, I will take the greatest care of my appearance: I will dress modestly; I will not raise my voice; I will be courteous in my behavior; I will not criticize anyone; I will not claim to improve or to discipline anyone except myself.

8. Only for today, I will make a plan for myself: I may not follow it to the letter, but I will make it. And I will be on guard against two evils: hastiness and indecision.
9. Only for today, I will firmly believe, despite appearances, that the good Providence of God cares for me as no one else who exists in this world.
10. Only for today, I will have no fears. In particular, I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful and to believe in goodness. Indeed, for twelve hours I can certainly do what might cause me consternation were I to believe I had to do it all my life. |

I don't think I can do this all at once, so maybe I'll pick one a month to work on or something. I'm too tired tonight to think too hard about it.

I am going to use Motivated Moms to begin organizing my housecleaning and homemaking skills.
And I am going to learn to drive on the opposite side of the road before my driver's license expires.

I'm going to aspire to introduce myself to a few new words:
- Weekly Mop - the sponge method just doesn't cut it with my crowd
- Patience
- Declutter
- Dinner plans
We'll see how well I include them into my vocabulary.

Find more activities we can do together. With kids 5 years apart we split up a lot when dh is home. When dh is not home we spend a lot of time sitting waiting for the other sibling. So while ds will do baseball in spring, other activities will include dd. If baseball allows-this is our first foray into that arena
