Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Of all the presents the kids got this year, this was the biggest hit this year. What did your children like the most?

For the boys(even the bigger ones, which surprised me)two giant Tonka trucks. The two littlest can fir in the back of the dumptrucks and the bigger boys push them around. I don't know what dh and I were thinking. Our house is not big enough for those two things. A close seond is ds'(6) paper airplane book.

For dd, some pictures a friend gave her. The pictures are of our friends horses. Dd has adopted the horses as her own, sicne we cannot even dream of affording a horse.

Ds 15 - SLR camera (film); close second was binoculars
Dd 9 - New bedding - her last room "upgrade" was when she was 3 and she turns 10 next week! She's feeling quite the big girl, now!

DD-3.9, her waldorf style doll. It's on my blog

Oh, Ruth, aren't Speedstacks cool?

Okay, for my bunch....

DD18 - her watercoler pencil set...and her ocarina...

DS9 - LEGOS!!!

DD5 - Well, she begged for & wanted American Girl Kit. And she does play with her everyday. But, she also got some clothes for her Webkinz, and those were quite the hit also. She brings that goofy, oh I mean adorable, pony everywhere...and big sister fed the addiction by getting her the hippo.

I did a blog post of our top 5 ... by far the best all round family gift though (altho Santa brought it for JP, we've all enjoyed -- and are enjoying) are the Keva planks! These things are phenomenal ... very fun and easy but yet intricate too!

DDs 10 and 8 - several audio dramas and Jim Weiss CDs

A friend passed on some "Littlest Pet Shop" sets for my 4 and 2yo and they have been a big hit.

The baby is liking his warm sleep sacks.

Legos,Legos, and more Legos for the boys. Plus a bounce back for lacrosse, skateboards and a stuffed hippo.

DD added a few Vera Bradley bags to her collection, Petal Pink, a wave board and some new clothes.

I got a Mom Agenda gift set, some Orgins products, and an Anne of Green Gables DVD set. My inlaws gave me a Garmin for the car, no more U-turns for me.

We made dh a cool poster of family photos to take to Kuwait with him, thank you Costco.

I have to say everyone was/is very pleased with their presents this year.

Patty, DS got Lego Star Wars game for his birthday. It was definitely a good buy

My presents from DH... a gift certificate to Borders and an iPod. I can now listen to those podcasts and audiobooks WHILE I am tidying/cooking (you know the one time of the day I am normally not interrupted!).

And you all know about the bookstore .

Favorite for 9 yo dd by far was the art set from Michaels that included a desk top easel as part of the box. Actually just the easel part was the big hit.

Dh and I got the boys a double basketball hoop game for the basement for the boys! They love it -- we'll see how long it lasts.

Aaawwwww! How sweet! That would have been my favorite, too!

Well here it has been a video game Christmas, fortunately and unfortunately. We broke down and ds11 got a Playstation 2. We've never had a video game system. So needless to say, this is the big hit. But with the start of this week...it hasn't been on incessantly (like last week...woo!)

For dd12 a small digital camera, ds9 legos, ds7 laser tag, ds5 lincoln logs, and dd2 a hippity hop ball. This ball has become her primary mode of transportation around the entire house (to the bathroom, to bed, to the table for meals, we at least taught her to carry it down the stairs !). It's nice, we always know where she is, just listen for the thump-thump. If anyone looks at it twice, she screams for them to get away from it...I'm thinking I might need to buy an extra to have on hand in case this one should ever meet an untimely demise!

For dh, lots and lots of board games...it was fun picking them out for him. And for me, a new cell phone from my mom and I got a Vera Bradley bag (but I don't know if that should count, since technically I bought it myself and handed it to dh to wrap up for me )

BRIO train set...bought for soon-to-be 3yo boy, but 4 and 5yo girls have been playing with it more than their big present (Melissa and Doug doll house from grandma)...though that has gotten a lot of playtime, too.

Feeling the exact same thing here.

The biggest hit for the boys would be the Wii DH bought and some computer game my brother bought them. My oldest really enjoys Legos...the Mars Mission something or other is a hit, too.

My girls love their dolls & dress up clothes.
