Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone ever done a Turkey Breast in the Crock Pot? Any tried-and-true recipes or advice?

Thanks!

yep...it's super easy to do. I just throw a little water in and a chicken bouillon cube, similar to cooking a whole chicken in the crockpot.

This is the only way my MIL fixes turkey for Thanksgiving. The meat stays moist, though I will say that it has that "taste" that everything seems to get when cooked in the crockpot (at least the white meats), KWIM?

Personally, I prefer a roasted turkey, though this is a nice option to have extra white meat on hand and you don't have an extra oven.

I have, several times. In my opinion, that is the best way to cook turkey breast. It's very good if you just season with salt and pepper then pour a little white wine over it.Then let it cook for several hrs on high. The meat is very flavorful and juicy. The juice is excellent.Hope that helped!

I do it the same way as Nina, a little salt and pepper and some wine. Comes out well every time.

Thank you!

and - do you have wine suggestions?

We are not wine drinkers - I have tried SO many trying to find one that I liked, and haven't yet - so can someone suggest one that might work well with the Turkey?

How about the ones from Trader Joes?

thanx...

I just use whatever wine we have left over, as dh and I can rarely finish a bottle at one sitting.
I am not a wine snob at all and will drink whatever. I prefer them light and fruity, like a white zinfandel.
