Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have had the most dreadful experience twice now, both times in a book store.

Heres the situation. I am innocently browsing books, sipping coffee, and I feel like all the childrens books are accusing me of all the books I have that I have not read or trails we have not explored, or science projects we have never done, arts and craft waiting for me. The books seem to be screaming to me "LOSER"!   I feel like time is quickly slipping by and I never seem to be able to do all that I think is so important!

What is this, I am losing my favorite "escape" from reality venue. I almost dread the thought of going to the library or a book store, well ALMOST!

Hee. I often have this experience. Not even at a bookstore. Right in front of our own bookcases!!! (Just this evening I had another episode )

There's just so many hours in a day....

And so many books to read and enjoy and learn from and discuss....

Already I've asked dd-16 if she wouldn't mind if I still "assign" her a book every now and then when she's in college, because I just KNOW we'll never get to all the books I want us to read together before she finishes high school...

I sometimes ask if Heaven has a library..... and then sometimes I think it might not belong there at all.... what do you think?

I feel like that every time I browse through people's blogs!

The answer for me is to try not to compare myself... and realise that no-one can do everything.

Molly -- I just keep going back ... and getting books from the library or the bookstore ... it's kind of my way of thumbing my nose at those who say you CAN have TOO MANY books -- RIGHT! Like, why do they publish them if there's a limit .... and I figure eventually I'll get around to reading them ... that's why God gave me all these kids of varying ages!

Me, too!

Then I remember to just keep on plodding on, adding a dash here and a book there...I'll never do it all with my kids, soemtimes we even seem to do nothing, in schooly terms!

So do I. (Which is why I should get to bed )

This is what I have been doing lately and my how it has helped. We did two great art projects this month and played some games.   It sure did feel great to add some more spice!

I'll never do it all with my kids either....
