Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're thinking about relocating from San Jose to the South Sacramento area (probably Elk Grove). Would you ladies who live in or near Sacramento be willing to answer a few questions for me? (I'm particularly interested in talking with those who go to Saint Stephen's, since we used to go there when we lived in Davis a few years ago and are planning on making that our home parish, but I have general questions about the area too.) PM me, if you don't mind sharing--I would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much!!

I can't answer your question, but it was funny reading about the area of South Sacramento. I lived right near St. Charles Borromeo as a kid and went to school there. At that time, there was not church. Mass was in the auditorium. I would love to go back some day and see it now as an adult.

I am particularly glad the forums are back up because our move is now imminent! My husband just got offered a job in the Sacramento area, and we will be moving there in just a week and a half.

Amid the frantic packing going on around here, I really would love to pick the brains of some of you in the area--so I'm bumping up my request for help...

Thanks so much!

Celeste,

I'm so sorry I didn't see your first request!

I'm pming you now - Although I don't attend St. Stephen's - I have many friends who do - and our lovely Nina Murphy does attend there!
