My name is Christine and I have been homeschooling our youngest son (10yo) for three years. I have three (much) older children who have already completed their schooling. We are now within a year of a very long process to adopt our DS who came to us as a foster child at 15 months. We continue to foster and have a steady stream of newborns to 2 yo gracing our home.
The homeschooling routine has proved to be the most relaxing, rewarding and do-able lifestyle for our entire family and I am so blessed to have discovered it.
Our DS is the first child in care in New South Wales (Australia) to be homeschooled - as opposed to following the distance education programme - and it has been a struggle well worth the fight.
I look forward to being part of a Catholic group that shares my cultural outlook, and my profound love of children.
