I was trying to upload pictures yesterday and wordpress says I maxed out my limit. I don't want to spend funds to buy more "space", so I figured I'd just delete some of the uploads that either aren't in use or wouldn't be a big deal to remove from the blog. But no matter how many I remove - it still gives the same message!

Anyone know what to do?

I have had the same thing myself (although, on Wordpress on our server, so possibly not the same solution, but maybe!)

When I looked, the images that were failing to load were larger (not by much...) Most of my images are between 2.7MB and 2.9MB, but some are 3.1MB or 3.3MB. I think the 'boundary' must be 3.

I simply saved the images to be slightly smaller and tried again and I was able to upload them. (I can probably remember how, and explain it, but I'm on a Mac so I'm not sure that it will be applicable for you. But maybe someone else can help you with resizing image files.)

As an aside Martha -- if you use flickr.com to post your pictures to wordpress, you don't use your free wordpress space at all.
