Hello Ladies!

I am back in the States after a month visiting my family in the Dominican Republic. We had a great visit. It was a little scary when we thought Hurricane Dean might go our way. The buildings in the DR are very sturdy but, my mom lives on a 5th floor apartment with tons of glass windows.Thank God nothing happened, not even a little wind (to the disappointment of may 10 yo who was already thinking up all the stories he would tell his friends).

This week has been spent cleaning,getting all the extracurricular activities lined up, catching up on housework, organizing for our school year which start next week, trying to understand our new coop (Classical Conversations). I am slowing catching up. I feel left behind: everybody seems to be already in the groove of things (schools here in LA started two or three weeks ago) and I am still floundering.

I see that you guys have been busy also. I have tried to catch up, at least get a feeling of where you guys are at. What have I missed? Anything going on that I need to know? Could you highlight for me memorable things of the last month?

Anyhow, is great to be back home and it is great to come here again and "see"y'all.
