Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We got to go berry picking at a friend's house the other day. On my blog is a picture of her little boy (whom I also care for during the day) during our berry picking adventure.

Oney,
I'm so glad to see you blogging. You're blog is beautiful. And I agree wholeheartedly--it hurts .

Thank you Elizabeth. I really enjoy your place on the 'web too. Your forum sets such a gentle tone for family in general.      Morgan (my daugther) was a mess last night. She is supposed to be moving on Saturday and it's starting to creep up on her. She asked me last night (through tears), "Mom, what am I going to do when I need you?" I said, "call me, or send a text message" She replied, "no, what am I going to do when I need you to touch my face or give me a hug?"

   I lost it then.

Oney,
Did you write this? Living I ask because it's something I'd expect to see as an inspirational clipping in a magazine.

It's beautiful...

And your little boy's face is toooooo cute.

Hello Cay,
Yes, I wrote 'Living' last September at the Five In A Row Homeschool Moms retreat. Publisher Steve Lambert and author Jane Claire Lambert had a wonderful and inspirational program including the importance of journaling for our own well-being. They gifted the attendees with lovely journals and then gave us "assignments." One that Steve gave was to consider life if we only had 6 months to live.

I was a bit miffed at that point. He took such a light-hearted and fun conference and puncuated it with a serious assignment. I actually folded my arms across my chest, slammed my journal closed and shoved it to the center of the table while I pushed myself away from the table.      I was such a brat!      Then, in the matter of about 38 seconds the Holy Spirit prompted me with the words "live" and "alone" and I found myself writing like a mad woman.

'Living' is the result.

I am glad you are blessed by it. I love to write and wish the Holy Spirit would inspire me more often.
