Any suggestions for a good meal to take to a new mama? I've taken dozens of meals to friends when they have babies, but none of my standbys sound appealing to me. I think I'm begining to have a third trimester return to nausea. (Or maybe it's just an aversion from my hot stove and tiney kitchen!) I'm looking for something simple, with simple ingredients, to feed mom and dad, toddler boy and teenage boy. Thanks so much!

Chicken and rice caserole is easy and portable-chicken, cream soup, and rice-you can get a recipe from Campbells soup.
I like to make soup-simple chicken and pasta and cornbread muffins. It's something that can be good for leftovers too.
Add some fresh fruit to either meal and you're set.
I made the mistake of making chili once-the dad loved it but the poor baby had gas from the nursing mama for 2 days

I just took sloppy joes to my friend and her family. I cooked the meat, added the sauce. I made homemade coleslaw (the cut up stuff in the bag and my homemade dressing). I included buns and cut up fruit. Rice krispy treats for dessert. All she had to do was zap the meat to warm through and dinner is served.
And, third trimester! I can hardly believe it! I always remember you in my prayers Lisa.

Tacos - Make the meat and bring all the trimmings - shells, Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, etc.
Someone did it for us after having a baby and everyone loved it and it was easy for me to serve.

Okay, I am very lazy and busy with 2 yo twins! but I usually go online to order Pizza Hut delivered whenever the family wants it :)
When I visit, I just take muffins since I already had a pizza sent.
