Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, what sweetness filled my heart when I came across this forum! It is good to be here!
A bit about me- I am married 12y to dh Tim and what a blessing he is! He keeps me going on the faith end when I am feeling sucked into the world. What would I do without him?! We have four dd, Maria(9 in 3wks), Claire(almost 7),Katie(just 4),& Gianna(18m). We live in a small(1000pop) town in rural NE Colorado. Pros: small!,safe, no malls!; Cons: tiny(almost nonexistent) Catholic community ,undertone of anti-Catholism, and being outsiders(even though we've been here 10yrs)we will always be on the outside. So, all said, we are given many opportunities to rely on the Lord!
I happened upon CM early on in hsing and soon after I discovered EFoss' Real Learning book what a comfort! It is where God has directed me although dh goes through phases of concern that our dd's aren't learning the real school stuff! But that subsides when they start manifesting real soul stuff!
And since I'm new here I have to admit I am computer challenged. How did you all learn those skills? Blogs, photos, all beyond my ability at the moment. Any easy way to learn with little time?
Thanks for all your hearts on this forum!

Welcome Karen! We have girls almost the same ages - 9, 7, a little over 4, and just about to turn two.

I've learned blog/computer skills mostly through making lots of mistakes! Luckily my girls LIKE to watch me mess around on the computer (for a short while) so I can do that and maybe even teach them something at the same time. HTML skills may be useful to them someday!

I hope you come to love this forum as much as I do (see my post count to the side)

Welcome Karen -- how close are you to SE Denver? A great way to jump right in would be to come hang out with us, Mary M, Momwise, MicheleM and a few other lurkers who try to weave CM (and some other less-schooly systems) into our school days.

My boys are 17 (leaving for LSU in June), 8 and 4; girls are 15 (going to the diocesan high school for her last two years of high school) and 7.

PM me (just click the button below) and let me know if you'd be intersted .. we're nice people and can even help with the computer stuff!
