Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know if Nat.Geo.Kids is good? I think the regular version is great, but am wondering about this one. Which would you spend the $ on?

No opinion on the kids one, but I want to say I don't like the regular one. Wayyyy too much politcailly correct and "green" stuff in there. I am all for being good stewards of our earth, but they go overboard, IMHO. I can't think of a concrete example right now and have no old mags laying aorund. Seemed that each issue, though had something that rubbed me the wrong way....
Could be just me as well....

Kathy

Liz, I think NG Kids is a waste of time and money. The articles are fluffy and brief. The photos are usually good, but they are often randomly placed about the page in a most distracting manner. Overall, I don't think it is good preparation for reading real articles, though one might think that would be one goal of NG.

All my readers read the regular NG version. It was gift. I do read it first and pull out an occasional item. I discuss errors with the children before they read it. I want them to get used to spotting the errors in what they read. Most of it is fascinating and they refer back to articles in conversation.

It has been given to my dc as a x-mas gift for the past 2 yrs. My dh is not impressed at all, in fact I think he throws them away!
We do enjoy the regular NG.
