Can you have the booklists in the columns like so many of us have at Typepad?
I've been switching things over to a Wordpress account that I started 6 months ago but I can't find where to add the booklists and I LOVE those. *sigh*

You mean with the cute Amazon pictures?
If so, I haven't seen a way to do it -- but Theresa, you're talking to a person who is desperately trying to keep up with the technological age as it speeds way above her head!

Same as Maryan here - if so, I haven't figured it out yet.

I haven't figured it out either, also "Today in the Church" can't figure that out.

I really like the amazon book feature. I have family who read and it's nice for them to see what were reading and studying.
I imported my posts over and am going to see if I can find anything that will allow me to do it. Of the Wordpress blogs I visit I haven't seen the book lists at all.
Thanks and if anyone has any other info. or could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

There's an Amazon plugin but I wouldn't recommend it because it's the new version now (to go with Wordpress 2.+) and the old one (with WP 1.5+) worked better. I hear the developer is working to improve it though.
WP can do most anything you want, you just have to have the right plugin to do it. But it does take a bit more work on the part of the blogger (unless you've got someone that will do design/templating, etc. for you, or you have the patience/time).
I've got a sample on my personal blog -- working on the template is on hold until after Lent so pardon the clutter. On that one the books are on the sidebar.
On our homeschooling blog the books are on the posts themselves. (you'll have to scroll down, I still need to edit the most recent posts to add the links)
It's the same plug-in, just used differently.
PS I just found another plug in that looks more promising. I may try that one myself.

Does Library Thing allow you to do it?

Oh, how could I forget? Thanks so much, Erin! I just tried it. It works on my post -- have to try it on the sidebar to see if my template can work with it.
It works much better than the current WP-Amazon plugin -- searches are more thorough.

I am not that experienced with CSS. Although I did some tinkering with my Typepad blog I am not sure of the codes or places to insert these plugin's. My desire would be to just copy my current CSS over to Wordpress so that I could have the same look but it's not working.
Thank you for the links I'm going to try looking at them this week and see if I can figure them out.

Stef,
I just had a look at your hs blog Let me know if you manage to get it into your sidebar. I am in the midst of changing my blog over to blogger and with Elena'skind and patient help I have managed it
The thing is I seem to get either random books or most recent from library thing. I am sure that it is from library thing that I must change it so that the books come in their tags. But I can't work out how to have tags 'with' the pictures. Do you know if it can be done? Btw is there a help page for this sort of thing on library thing? I can't find one.
