Hi all,
I got an email from my dear sil today regarding my brother. Here's a portion:
Chris found out yesterday that he didn't
pass the auditing portion of the CPA exam. He has one more testing period
to pass it. If he doesn't, he has to take all portions of the exam over.
Needless to say, I have a very depressed husband on my hands. I am not
really sure what to say or do. He has no confidence and he is feeling alot
of pressure and I don't know what to do. I have been praying and try to be
encouraging, but it doesn't really seem to help. He feels like he's a
failure. I am concerned about him not passing and having to take them all
over, but he's feeling even worse about it.
He was raised Catholic, but fell away during college. Do you have any words of wisdom I could share with her for him? I have a lot of thoughts running around in my head but thought I'd check in with some friends first. Thanks in advance.
God bless,
Angela

Angela, no words of wisdom here, but I will pray for him. It is very hard for men to feel like they cannot provide for their families. I will add him to our list for St Joseph to handle

My dh is a CPA and I believe one time he said it is not uncommon for people to have to retake this test. We'll be praying.

I have a two friends who are CPA's and they both say it is a really tough test and it is very common to have to take it mulitple times.

Angela,
I think just letting him know you love him and are praying for him will be the biggest encouragement to him...I am praying for him and his dear family, too!

Oh, thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughtfulness. He is such a nervous type, low self esteem, low confidence. And overall he is a really great guy! He's just paranoid because if he doesn't pass the 4th part this time, he has to start all over, and his company won't pay for them either.
Thanks so much, all.
God bless,
Angela
