is your deck made of??

I know this may be a strange question. But we are planning to re-do our deck..it is in need badly.

Looking online and through home magazines, I just have to ask..does anyone have a cedar deck??? I have seen several articles about using cedar, yet I know of no one who has used it for a deck.

We would love to hear of your ideas! Thanks!

Our deck is Trex which is made of recycled plastics and waste wood. No splinters!

OK, I just grilled Bill before he left for work.

The frame is made with non-chromium pressure-treated wood (meaning, no arsenic). The deck and stairs are a Trex material (cedar colored) and the railings are actual cedar wood.

We've had it two years.
