Anyone have scripture meant to guide or reflect on the over 40 woman? Wouldn't it be nice to compile it here for meditation?
Blessings,

I can't think of any specific passages, but I have always liked the fact that Sarah was older when she had Isaac, and that Anne was older when she had Mary.

These are not specific to the older woman, but have helped me tremendously during this later season of life...these and many more verses were hand printed on index cards, at various times over the past decade, are punched and bound, laying ready on my homeschooling desk, to console and strengthen at a moment's notice:
Deut. 32:2 May My instruction soak in like the rain, and My discourse permeate like the dew, like a downpour upon the grass, like a shower upon the crops.
Isaiah 33:2 O Lord , have mercy on us: for we have waited for Thee: be Thou our arm in the morning and our salvation in time of trouble.
1 Thess. 5:5-6 For all you are children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch, and be sober.
Sirach 37:16 In all thy works let the true word go before thee, and steady counsel before every action.
Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: By waiting and calm you shall be saved, in quiet and trust lies your strength.
Ecclus. 2:1-5 Son, when thou comest to the service of God, stand in justice and in fear, and prepare thy soul for temptation. Humble thy heart, and endure: incline thy ear, and receive the words of understanding: and make not haste in the time of clouds. Wait on God with patience; join thyself to God and endure, that thy life may be increased in the latter end. Take all that shall be brought upon thee: and in thy sorrow endure, and in thy humiliation keep patience. For gold and silver are tried in fire, but acceptable men in the furnace of humiliation.
Hebrews 12:11 Now all chastisement for the present indeed seemeth not to bring with it joy, but sorrow; but afterwards it will yield, to them that are exercised by it, the most peaceable fruit of justice.
Deut. 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God Who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations...
1 Peter 4:8 Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Isaiah 59:1 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, or His ear dull that it cannot hear." *(This scripture was shared with me by a spiritual mentor, during a prodigal season for our family)

Titus 2:3-5
Similarly, older women should be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to drink, teaching what is good, so that they may train younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, chaste, good homemakers, under the control of their husbands, so that the word of God may not be discredited.

How about the Proverbs 31:10-31 woman? With all those qualities she had to be older!('')
My favorite verse is "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Prov.31:30
Joann, I love the Titus Bible quote. I do think the younger women look to the older ones for example!
