Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I think I've stumbled upon a new weight loss program. I was able to get into a one size smaller pair of jeans, but they were still snug and uncomfortable. I kept them on all day, and since I couldn't sit for more than 5 minutes because they were digging into my belly, I ended up moving around a lot more during the day. Plus, I didn't eat as much because there was no room for belly expansion.

So, I'm thinking if I wear these around the house (not in public, no way!) maybe I can lose some weight!

Now, what to call it and how to market it?!

This is too cute...I'll have to go dig out my tight jeans and confirm your theory

In college, my theater professor was the foremost expert in the Southeast on women's period underwear

He had students who were there particularly to master corset making. They would often get side jobs making custom corsets for people, including those who bought them specifically to help them lose weight.

So, anyway, "the girdle program" is a real thing, sort of

Well....I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I think somone had already invented this idea, and sadly it isn't working.

I was recently around a number of girls and women who were wearing jeans that were waaaaayyyy too tight. In fact some had skin pouring out over the top of the jeans.

Unfortunately, they didn't loose any weight, they only conformed there brains to think that this looks REALLY good!

Sorry to break this too you....

At least I know how bad they look and won't wear them outside of the house!

Although........I only have two pairs of jeans in my current size, and one has a huge rip along the back pocket showing lots of my backside. I was only wearing them in the house because I had nothing else to wear, but forgot I had them on and went to the Post Office.    When I got home and realized my underwear was showing I was so embarrassed! Needless to say, those jeans are no longer in my wardrobe!

Lara,
Of coarse, I didn't mean to imply that would happen to you! It just seems that it has happened to most of the young girls I know wear jeans that are too tight!

Oh, no, I knew it was joke! No worries!

I have dropped 2 pounds since I started my new "diet"! Or maybe it's the lack of money to buy all the good snack foods I used to love?!
