I recently had a family photo done and I am paying $30 for touch-up because of these dark circles under my eyes! They appeared in full force this past year. Even when I'm rested, I don't look it. I've never worn much make-up, but now I need to wear it all the time or I look like I'm hung over. Any advice? I see all these serums that make them go away. Do they really?

do you suffer from allergies? that can cause the dark circles.

The eye cream from Mary Kay works - it's just a tad expensive though

I don't suffer from allergies, as far as I know. I have very fair skin, and among the dark circles you can also see veins. I've been using this natural concealer from Whole Foods, but it doesn't seem to last long. I don't want to have to re-apply throughout the day.
I'll check on the Mary Kay product and price!

No suggestions for cover up, but I've heard that the circles can be food allergies not just environmental. Has your diet changed recently?

It can also be just part of aging because your skin, especially around the eyes, gets thinner as you age. I'm fair skinned and have always had dark circles. I use Almay true match concealer and it works well.

I believe it's due to age. I'll check out the Almay concealer.

Genetics may play a role . Devin and I use Exuviance Brightening Bionic Eye Creme. We purchase it at Ulta (each as a gift for each other because it does seem like an extravagant.) It has a yellow tint, which helps in addition to all the fancy stuff in it. I then apply the Bare Essential foundation (dip wet concealer brush in powder) over the creme. Oh, an Ulta lady gave us the tip of keeping the creme in the refrig and apply cold (too fussy for me but did feel good!)
Don't worry too much about the circles - you are gorgeous no matter!
Love,

I have that same eye cream, Angie! It's so pricey, I don't use it every day. Maybe I should? I'll try the tip of wetting the brush.
Gorgeous....I look a lot like my sister!

Wait, are you two sisters?? How did I miss that?
I have had dark circles my entire life. I found a little 'magic cube' from Physicians Formula to work great and last all day - easy enough to take off also. If I use mascara I am sure to use water/smudge proof or clear. Clear is great esp. in the summer - gives my eyes definition w/out the black stuff. I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of them. (diet wise, etc...) I don't know how I'd handle it if they just started to appear though...

I also found this product that I may try next Eyelastin
I'm going to check out the Physicisions Formula Cube at WalMart tomorrow. I read about it and it has really good reviews. Sounds like a concealer I may like. Thank you, Lisa!

It's top secret information, Lisa. Don't tell anyone <- secret agent guy.
Jennifer, I forgot to mention that the lady at Ulta also said to massage the eye socket bone. Place index fingers, one each, on cheek bone. Move both fingers toward nose. Go up and around. Repeat. I don't know if this works either but, it sure does feel good and seems to work the lymphatic system.
Love,
