This Saturday is the big day, and we could use a lot of prayers right now.
My two oldest and dearest friends agreed to be my maid of honor and bridesmaid/assistant.
Friday morning my bridesmaid's mother died, and we have the funeral today.
Last night my maid of honor's father died, and his funeral will be on Thursday.
My heart goes out to both of them and their families, and I'm trying so hard not to be selfish, but mixed in with my tears of sorrow for them are tears of remorse and regret for myself that all my plans are getting washed down the drain.
Please pray for us. We really need it right now.

I remembered to pray for you and your wedding this morning. I'll continue to pray for you and for your dear friends and the repose of their parents' souls. Praying to the Blessed Mother and to St. Michael.

Dear Paula you are not selfish, I will pray for you, remember a wedding is a day a marriage is a lifetime! I know you know that, I would sometimes forget and it was helpful for me to be reminded. You have my prayers to St Dorothy.

How sad to lose a parent! I'll be praying for them.
I am echoing Chicken Lady's advice...you will have a lifetime to love each other, whether the wedding is a smash or not. I needed the reminder, too. I was too focused on the Day, and not the Sacrament.
But you're not being selfish...it's a natural concern. I will be there in spirit for this wonderful day!

What a difficult time, Paula. It will all work out, however. Hang in there, and focus on the love you and your fiance have for each other and the beautiful sacrament you are about to receive.

I could spend and hour writing the roller coaster ride we went on the week before our wedding...however,dispite everything...the actually day was beyond perfect.
I will keep you in my prayers that the same happens to you...as well as the repose of the soles of your friend’s family.
